Tutor of piano, keyboard, flute, ukulele and theory of music

Robyn started playing piano at the age of five and continued learning, taking London College of Music graded examinations, through most of her school education. When starting high school, Robyn started learning keyboard (yes, piano and keyboard are different!) and the flute. Her passion for music continued to flourish and at the age of 16, she started teaching piano to a family friend. Robyn continued to teach beginners while she studied music at A-Level and at the University of Birmingham. After graduation, Robyn pursued a career in education and she is now Head of Music at an Independent School based in Albrighton teaching nursery through to year 8.

Daniel began playing piano at age 9 being trained classically, and he eventually developed an interest in jazz. Daniel began to teach himself jazz and improvisation around the age of 14. At 13 years old, he started to pick up guitar and has been playing casually since. He started playing original music at small gigs with a small group of school friends before A-Levels brought a premature end to their careers and he has since moved to Birmingham from North London to study Music and Mathematics at the University of Birmingham. Daniel's first introduction to teaching came at around 16 as a karate coach which he has been practicing for about as long as he has been playing music.

Tutor of acoustic and electric guitar

Tommy started playing guitar when he was 11 years old after watching 'Back to the Future'. He played rock and blues on an electric guitar until he heard the sound of an acoustic from players like Tommy Emmanuel and Justin Johnson. Tommy has played privately and in ensembles over the years. In addition to teach guitar at Whitehouse Music, Tommy is a dedicated artist and completes a range of commissions; from pet portraits to a bespoke engagement comic book!

Joe has been playing the piano since the age of 6, performing at various concerts, events and even a birthday party. He completed his Grade 8 exam at 15, followed shortly after by the GCSE music qualification. Now, Joe enjoys being able to learn and play pieces of his choice, ranging from film tracks and pop songs to famous classical pieces and recommendations from his friends. Joe’s first taste of music teaching came from volunteering at Whitehouse Music for his bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and loved it so much, he has now returned!

Tutor of piano, vocals and violin

Stuart has been playing the piano since he was five years old, starting with formal lessons from around 6 years old after his mother initially introduced him to the piano. He then started playing violin at the age of nine and performing in singing ensembles from around year 7 at school. His first performance was for solo piano in his School Inter-house Competition in year 10, where he played Chopin’s Nocturne in Eb major. He often tells the story of the performance to his pupils as he was so nervous and "even missed the first note in the left hand, but we don’t talk about that". While studying music at the University of Birmingham he was the musical director of The Gilbert and Sullivan Society. 

If he is not sat at a piano stool, he is sitting on a bike and creating content for his TikTok account that raises awareness for motorists and cyclists.

Tutor of drums and brass

Adrian has been teaching for nearly 30 years and has taught brass and drum students ranging from beginner level to those preparing for music college auditions. Numerous pupils have gone on to pursue careers as professional musicians or become teachers in their own right. Additionally, Adrian is a professional musician himself, which adds a fresh and exciting element to his teaching. In his spare time, Mr. Gibson indulges in hobbies such as photography, staying fit, and solving Sudoku puzzles.
